Exercise Ball Crunches

Another good and productive exercise to lose stomach flab is exercise ball crunches.  You will, of course, need an exercise ball.  You can find an exercise ball at a sports or fitness store. To exercise your abs, lie with your back on the ball and then you want to sit up just as though you were doing a regular sit up.

This is going to give your abs a complete workout, because while you are doing the sit ups you are also working to keep your balance.

These are both great exercises, but remember that if you really want to work out your stomach and get those hot washboard abs, then you are going to have to get lots of variety in your exercises and mix up your routine (change the exercises you do and the order that you do them).

Plank Exercise

The plank exercise is an excellent workout for the abs and a very good way to lose that flab. The plank exercise also works out your back and hips as well as other core muscles.

The plank exercise uses to points of contact with the floor.  They are your forearms and your toes.  You will be in a modified push up position.   Rather than you hands and toes being on the floor, your forearms and toes will be on the floor.

Move down to the floor into a push up position. Then lower yourself to your forearms.  Do not arch your back, as this will not be nearly as effective.  Keep your back straight from your shoulders to your toes.

Tilt your pelvis towards the floor and contract your abdominal to keep your rear end from sticking up in the air.

This is a good way to lose stomach flab.

Hold this position for 10 to 20 seconds if you are a beginner and 30 to 60 seconds if you are more advanced.

Repeat from the beginning for 3 to 5 repetitions.

Eating

If you want to lose stomach flab then eating is an important part of your exercise routine.  Cut down on the amount of fatting foods and sugar that you eat.

Make sure you are eating enough calories for the exercise you are doing so you are burning calories and not muscle for you expended energy.

If you want to lose stomach flab then you are on your way.

Keep track of your successful progress and enjoy your accomplishment.  It will not happen overnight, but you will see a marked change in your abdominal muscles and after a while you may need a new wardrobe.

Working with a partner is a great motivator.  Find a partner, your husband or wife or friend and workout and encourage each other together.
